About Viagra Connect
-
-
Viagra Connect is a type of over-the-counter erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment. It can help you get and maintain an erection for longer. You can get Viagra Connect online, or in person at a pharmacy.
Viagra Connect is sold under a brand name and contains the active ingredient sildenafil.
-
-
Viagra Connect is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. This type of medication relaxes the blood vessels in the penis so that blood can flow better, causing an erection when aroused.
In clinical trials with more than 8,000 patients, Viagra Connect was shown to be effective for 74% of men.

-
- Take your tablet around 60 minutes before sex.
- Swallow it whole, with some water. You don’t need to eat anything, but you can have something light if this reduces nausea (feeling sick).
- Viagra Connect can only help you to get an erection if you’re also sexually stimulated. It usually starts to work within 30 to 60 minutes, but each person is slightly different.
What to avoid when taking it
To make Viagra Connect most effective, avoid taking it after having:
- a heavy meal
- grapefruit juice
- alcohol
These can make Viagra take longer to work. Grapefruit juice and alcohol also increase the likelihood of side effects.
Never take Viagra Connect more than once a day, even if it didn’t work the first time.
